I'm a junior in college, and studying abroad in London for the academic year! I am a history major, my concentration being British Naval History the Admiral Lord Nelson, who is the most facinating character I've ever come across and who I will never cease to be intrigued by. My journal thus far is simply a photographic story of my journey here, although hopefully I will begin to write (right now I'm limited to pcitures descriptions). I am also writing a novel, set during the Napoleonic Wars. One of the main characters is an admiral who retires only to find himself beset by troubles he wasn't expecting in the form of strange abilities and newcomers. It's being posted chapter by chapter here: www.fictionpress.com/~hellenicpride, and the title is "Ignorance's Blessing". Completely crap title, I know, but it's a work in progress, like everything else. In any case, point is, the British Navy during the Napoleonic Wars, those tall ships, are my passion, and why I've come to England to begin with.
